Nueva subespecie de la "Lechuza de Koepcke" de Apurímac y regiones adyacentes. / New subspecies of "Koepckeae's Screech Owl" from Apurimac and adjacent regions.

Ahora la nueva subespecie de Megascops koepckeae ("Lechuza de (Koepcke) de Apurímac") - ver página 490 en la "Guía Ecoturística: Mancomunidad Saywite-Choquequirao-Ampay" - tiene su nombre científico oficial (en honor de Pedro Hocking y sus esfuerzos inexhaustibles para documentar la avifauna peruana, y en especial los bosques pocos estudiados de los Andes centrales del Perú, incluso Apurímac): Megascops koepckeae hockingi. Erste Präsentation des Ökotourismusführers in der Schweiz / Primera presentación de la guía ecoturística en Suiza / First presentation of the ecotourism guide in Switzerland

Nach mehreren Präsentationen in Peru (Abancay, Ayacucho, Cusco, Lima, siehe weiter unten im blog) im 2011 wurde der Ökotourismusführer "Guía Ecoturística: Mancomunidad Saywite-Choquequirao-Ampay (Apurímac, Perú)" am 23. März 2012 zum ersten Mal in der Schweiz vorgestellt (siehe elektronischer Flyer). 

Después de varias presentaciones en el Perú (Abancay, Ayacucho, Cusco, Lima, ver más abajo en este blog) en 2011 la "Guía Ecoturística: Mancomunidad Saywite-Choquequirao-Ampay (Apurímac, Perú)" fue presentada por primera vez en Suiza el 23 de marzo 2012 (ver volante electrónico).

After several presentations in Peru (Abancay, Ayacucho, Cusco, Lima, see further down in this blog) in 2011 the ecotourism guide "Guía Ecoturística: Mancomunidad Saywite-Choquequirao-Ampay (Apurímac, Perú)" was presented for the first time in Switzerland on March 23rd 2012 (see electronic flyer).

GUÍA ECOTURÍSTICA: MANCOMUNIDAD SAYWITE-CHOQUEQUIRAO-AMPAY (APURÍMAC, PERÚ)

Este guía es uno de los primeros ensayos que se han hecho por presentar los aspectos naturales y culturales del norte del departamento de Apurímac, precisamente en los distritos de Pacobamba, Huanipaca, Tamburco, San Pedro de Cachora y Curahuasi, todos integrantes de la denominada Mancomunidad Municipal Saywite-Choquequirao-Ampay.

Su enfoque principal se basa en el análisis y la descripción de la fauna y flora biodiversa en el ámbito de la Mancomunidad y algunos sitios adyacentes de relevancia, como el complejo arqueológico de Choquequirao (departamento de Cusco). Se presentan 27 especies de mamíferos, 363 especies de aves, 9 especies de anfibios, 13 especies de reptiles, 148 especies de artrópodos, 205 especies de plantas, 32 especies de hongos y 33 especies de líquenes.

Además, se describen en detalle diecisiete rutas ecoturísticas que invitan al viajero a conocer la belleza paisajística, su fauna y flora, sus principales sitios arqueológicos, y a interactuar con la gente local y disfrutar de sus múltiples expresiones culturales.


This guide is one of the first attempts made up to now in order to present the natural and cultural aspects of northern Apurimac department, more precisely of the districts of Pacobamba, Huanipaca, Tamburco, San Pedro de Cachora and Curahuasi, all members of the so-called "Mancomunidad Saywite-Choquequirao-Ampay".

Its main focus is on the analysis and the description of the diverse fauna and flora in the area of the Mancomunidad Saywite-Choquequirao-Ampay and adjacent sites of importance, like, e.g. the archaeological complex of Choquequirao (department of Cusco). The book describes 27 species of mammals, 363 species of birds, 9 species of amphibians, 13 species of reptiles, 146 species of arthropods, 205 species of plants, 32 species of fungi and 33 species of lichens.

Furthermore, this guide introduces in detail seventeen ecotourism (hiking) routes that permit the (eco)tourists to discover the scenery's beauty, its fauna and flora, its principal archaeological sites, to interact with the local dwellers and to enjoy their multiple cultural expressions.

Se realizó la cuarta presentación de la "GUÍA ECOTURÍSTICA: MANCOMUNIDAD SAYWITE-CHOQUEQUIRAO-AMPAY" el 9 de agosto en la ciudad de Abancay.
